Brynleigh uses bespoke software to manage its assembly. This software enables us to enter manufacturing data into our system quickly. It provides our staff with direct, up-to-date access to job data so they can offer superior customer support. Once in our system data is transferred electronically within Brynleigh to enhance speed and reduce errors.
Customer data, relating to boards and parts, is converted into our format using highly automated procedures with built-in check routines. If the software detects inconsistencies we discuss them with our customers to ensure trouble free assembly. We can modify customer data, if necessary, to ensure it produces the best quality assembly.
Our materials control, management software and machine interfaces have reduced set-up times to a point where it has become cost effective to use our main production line for prototypes. This gives exceptionally fast turnaround, with full production line quality.

- Design review. Using our extensive industry experience we can rule out uncertainty, and save our clients both time and investment, by reviewing PCB designs in advance of assembly.
- Design Checking. Our software checks customer's data in detail, to resolve any discrepancies early. We get the job right before we start assembly.
- Design for Manufacture. We review designs for manufacturability, and use our experience to advise our customers how they can change their designs, to reduce costs and improve quality.
- Production Control. Designed for fast response. Sophisticated interfaces give our staff instant access to job information so they can control many jobs at once, and keep our customers up to date with progress.
- Materials control. This bar-coded system has full traceability for added customer confidence. It enables common parts to be shared between jobs to reduce excessive purchasing. This method kits parts while they are still on Europlacer feeders to save time, cost and potential errors in de-kitting and re-kitting feeders.
- Component procurement. Brynleigh purchased, customer-supplied, or a mixture of the two, the choice is yours. We have an excellent reputation for procurement and are ideally suited to arrange timely arrival of components, to ensure on-time delivery of your board.
- Special Procurement. Obsolete parts are an increasing problem with older product. Our experience and wide supplier base helps overcome these problems.
- Machine assembly. We use our main assembly line, supported by computer-guided prototyping stations, for prototypes. This gives production quality, even for one off quantities.
- Selective soldering. Our, fully programmable, selective soldering machine is particularly suited to fast turnaround needs. It is faster than hand soldering, but does not require time-consuming solder masking and jigging associated with wave soldering. A consistent, repeatable, high quality is achieved, particularly for large components and heavy ground planes where solder penetration is difficult to achieve using soldering irons.
- Automated inspection (AOI). We inspect all boards using AOI to achieve high yields for our customers. Our AOI is faster to set-up than manual inspection because it is auto programmed from our database.
- Rework. Should your prototype require modification Brynleigh has extensive experience in rework and upgrades, including BGA rework and re-balling.
- Quality. We are accredited to ISO 9001 by BSI. All boards are assembled to IPC workmanship standards in an air-conditioned static-safe environment.
